Candle Care
For best performance allow your candle to reach a full melt pool before extinguishing (2-4 hours).
Trim the wick to 6mm before each burn, removing any 'mushrooming'. This will ensure a clean, even burn.
Do not leave burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Container may become hot. Burn on heat resistant surface. Do not move a burning candle.
Cease burning your candle when there is 10mm of wax left. This is to prevent the glass vessel overheating and cracking.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

How can I repurpose my Candle Jar?
Once you have finished burning your candle, there are a few ways you can clean out the remaining wax. Place the container in the freezer and allow the wax to harden and shrink. Loosen the wax with a butter knife and it should pop out of the container. Alternatively, place the jar on a tray in the oven on low heat and allow the wax to melt. Dispose of the wax in the bin (never down the drain), allow the vessel to cool, and then wipe out the jar, and wash with clean, soapy water.
What's in my Candle?
Salt and Light Essentials candles are poured in our home-based Sydney studio, using our own blend of soy and coconut waxes, along with a vegan additive to assist with reset of the candle after each burn. We use cotton fibre wicks, and premium fragrances which are phthalate and paraben free. Our candles are rigorously tested to provide you with a safe, beautifully performing product.
